Portfolio Final

Image
Creating the portfolio project was like wrapping up the whole semester into one neat package. It was surprisingly fun to put together and edit, especially because it meant revisiting all the cool stuff we did in class. Looking back at my past assignments, I couldn't help but notice how much I've improved throughout the semester. Plus, it was pretty cool to realize I didn't need any help and didn't run into any issues while making the portfolio. The only real struggle was picking a template from the gazillion options on Adobe Stock. But after some searching, I found one that worked perfectly. Seeing all my work laid out in the portfolio got me thinking about how I could've done things differently in the past and how I can use what I've learned in other areas outside of school.Overall, putting together the portfolio was a rewarding experience that made me appreciate how much I've grown. Now, I'm just hoping for a good grade on the project!

Bus Card

For my Bus card I found the project to be actually pretty enjoyable. I found the challenge of creating multiple different design using the colors chosen from a past project to be pretty fun. Also I found this to be a quite useful assignment as I could definitely see myself possibly making myself a real business card at some point in my life. Out of the three I designed and colored I found the 3rd one to be my favorite, the smile fonts and the lack of eye catching color make the card feel professional and to me o believe that it could actually be a real business card. Again, with this project I seem to be finding errors when it comes to submitting the pdf here on blogger but I'm sure this dilemma will be discussed in class on Wednesday.

Post Card

For this project I choose to base my postcard off of Nashville TN. I chose Nashville because im planning a trip to go see my friend this coming fall. This project was definitely the most frustrating for me as I have very little experience using this adobe program. I also tried to experiment with my tag brush, I felt like the graffiti look to it just didn't work with my postcard, so I just made a new one using the brush tool. Not sure if I'm aloud to do that but I did and I personally think it looks better then the graffiti tag brush would have looked. Im happy with how it turned out and I feel like the final card gets the point across that it is a postcard from the solar eclipse in Nashville TN in 2024.

Animation Submission

For this assignment I was deftly the most challenged I have been yet when it comes to projects. I really struggled to find inspiration and once I finally figured out what I needed I struggled using the animation timeline in photoshop to make my final GIF. I wanted to do something that was making a golf shot and originally I had just recored myself putting on my practice green. I then realized that I needed to capture each frame from the video, at this point I didn't know to to extract EVERY frame from my video so I ended up just take the video over again but this time using burst photos so that I could get roughly 30 frames per second in my video. I really struggled with getting the tag brush up as well as the other font that I used in order to type my name and there "the end" part. overall I enjoyed this project as it challenged me to do something that to be completely honest I didn't think I would be able to do.
Anim Homework https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uawQR5UudtU This video is a short and easy tutorial on how to create a time a line and how to start using key frames. The video goes over the basics and teachers the user how to use smart objects in the animation. It goes over the diamond and the arrow in the key frame settings. The creator of the video makes it easy and understandable. I feel like. could make a 30 second gif based off of this video alone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llr_KTNtdlk this video goes over how to start the animation file correctly when using animation tools in photoshop. I didn't realize that there was more to just using different photos and timing them together, In the video the creator goes over how to edit keyframes individually as well as how to use photoshop tools and the animations tools in unison.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBWd_yJOA6s In this video the creator goes over how to animate multiple layers in order to make a simple GIF animation.

Somewhere

In this project I decided to throw myself into the world of the PGA by taking a photo of myself and implementing it into an image captured earlier in the season next to player Rickie Fowler. I found this project challenging and satisfying to complete as I was comfortable using the tools that are available to me as I felt well prepared based off of the assignments I had to complete in class. The images on the top are other images that I thought about putting my picture into, but ultimately I decided the one with the crowd because I feel like if I had chosen the other images I would of stuck out too much. I enjoy the sport of golf and I play quite frequently, so I enjoyed putting myself in the images.
